What is a Board of Advisors?

The SOPL Board of Advisors is intended to assist league operators in making decisions by providing meaningful, constructive discussion about situations and proposals that arise though out the league year. The Board of Advisors has no independent authority within the league and the league operators do have a final say. The smaller size of the Board, as opposed to a Captain's meeting, streamlines the decision process and makes for a more functional group.
The Board members are held to a high standard of confidentiality as some discussions may be of a sensative nature. Breaking this confidentiality may lead to termination of their position on the board.
