As I am sure most of you have assumed, the 2020/21 season of the SOPL is officially cancelled.

We have only played 4 weeks to this point and have 13 to go. We cannot figure a way to schedule the remaining matches to end our year in a reasonable time and be done before spring and summer activities begin. Very few people want to play multiple nights and allowing teams to schedule there own matches in a free for all is not something we are willing to entertain.

The Covid pandemic is still very active in the province. Numbers are coming down, which is encouraging, but there is no clear plan to lift the restrictions on gatherings as of yet. With new strains of the virus and delays in the vaccinations we do not feel safe restarting league play for some time yet. We can only hope that things will be under control for start up next fall.

The sanctioning fees were not paid out to CCS as we only played 4 weeks. Paul at Cues has offered to waive the table fees for those weeks and we will waive our admin fees so any money's you have paid in for this year will be refunded. Only about half of the teams actually paid those fees and they will be returned in the next couple of days by e-transfer to the email address they came from (except OGR). If you do not receive the refund by Monday, please contact me with proof of payment.
